David Wagner knew he was going to be an illustrator and discovered his talent as early as the 5th grade. Recognized by mentors, he honed his skills and became a professional illustrator in 1983, leading to a diverse experience in the commercial art industry.

David has a unique approach to his craft, not only as an illustrator but also as a skilled photographer. As an artist, he recognized the importance of capturing the perfect reference imagery and, consequently, developed a passion for photography. Starting in the early stages of his career, David began photographing his own references, mastering the art of lighting, composition, and framing.

His journey as a medical illustrator dates back to the early '90s, where he has collaborated closely with physicians and researchers. David consistently illustrates the anatomy and science of new techniques and innovative technologies. Attention to detail is paramount, ensuring accuracy in the final visual representation.

A creative problem solver, David serves pharmaceutical, medical manufacturing, and educational entities. Striving to deliver his best to clients, he seamlessly merges a deep understanding of scientific and technical knowledge into compelling visuals that tell accurate stories.

From gross anatomy to microbiology and everything in between, David has a profound understanding of the big picture down to the smallest details. He finds joy in the entire creative process, with satisfaction derived from partnering with medical providers, inventors, and business leaders to tell their stories in fresh and visually exciting ways.
